The little glass houses are 5 custom-made little glass houses, 5” each and hand-etched with text on sandblasted glass and sitting on a teak coffee table as its base. They are memory boxes in the simple iconic shape of the house like children often draw. Each one holds a different story about home.  The sentences are short fragments that allude to unspoken narratives about home. The glass of the house is opaque and does not reveal what is on the inside suggesting the public/private representations of the family.

my kitchen table was the 6 o’clock news   my supper was silence
a floating sense of danger
when I close my eyes I am invisible
waiting…..still waiting
