IIIIwawawant, what language?, grandmother's letter, gone missing, a fleeting conversation
grandmother’s letter is an excerpt of a letter written by my grandmother to my mother, describing her immigration to Canada by boat. The excerpt describes my grandmother's seasickness as well as her eager anticipation of arriving to the new country and being reunited with her family. The individual vinyl letters are installed permanently around the perimeter of the glass reading room of the Cambridge library where they often have ESL classes for new immigrants.
